This book is a must reading for all adults, not only for converts, but born Orthodox Christians. In the first half of the book the history of the Orthodox Church is described up to and including the twentieth-century. In part two, he explains the beliefs and worship of the Orthodox today. The book covers everything from Feast days, fasting, the Trinity, Christ, the Virgin Mary and more. (This book can be ordered in any bookstore.)

THE PROLOGUE FROM OCHRID by the Sainted Bishop Nikolai:
These 4 books are sure to become family heirlooms. In these books, Bishop Nikolai covers the lives of the Saint for the entire year. Each day also has a homily and meditations.

ORTHODOX HANDBOOK by Fr. Thomas Hopko:
v1 Doctrine, v2 Worship, v3 Bible and Church History, v4 Spirituality -- In these easy to read books everything is covered from Angels to Zacchaeus Sunday; including History, Doctrine, Worship. Excellent for quick reference and a must for all Sunday school teachers.

THE WAY OF THE PILGRIM:
a classic of spirituality, on the origin and practice of the Jesus prayer. It is the story of a young man's journey, his spiritual struggles, and letters to his Spiritual Father.

PAPA-NICHOLAS PLANAS by Mother Martha:
This is an easy reading book about the Saint Priest Papa-Nicholas. It is the biography of a pious Greek Priest (a Saint), his life, and his miracles. This book will inspire and uplift the soul and will be read many times.

CONTEMPORARY MORAL ISSUES by Stanley S. Harakas:
This book covers many moral issues facing the Orthodox Christian today. The book covers the Orthodox Churches standing on the occult, evolution, women in the Church, contraception, abortion, pornography, homosexuality, divorce, human rights, capital punishment, euthanasia, cremation, donation of organs, gambling, and much more.

SHEPHERD OF SOULS: THE LIFE AND TEACHINGS OF ELDER CLEOPA MASTER OF INNER PRAYER AND SPIRITUAL FATHER OF ROMANIA

I would highly recommend this book -- it's Great reading

MAN OF GOD: ST. JOHN OF SHANGHAI AND SAN FRANCISCO
St. John was noted for his extraordinary power of prayer, healing the sick, guiding the lost, and igniting tired and discouraged hearts with the miracle of renewed faith and love. Great reading.

THE BIBLE
This is THE BOOK. (The Orthodox study Bible is highly recommended.)
